Dedicated Salomon X-Alp Explore Ski Boots 2020 Ski Boots
Original price was: $209.95.$87.26Current price is: $87.26.
24mm Oversize Pivot:Significantly larger than standard canting bolts, Salomon’s 24mm Oversized Pivot helps align your boots for the most precise and efficient energy transfer between your boot and the ski. The larger diameter helps with wider skis since the torque on your boot is much higher.
Micro-adjustable alloy buckles: These alloy buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads:This is a must-have for skiers that don’t live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
98mm last:Forefoot width of 98mm for racing performance, not as concerned about comfort, although modern boots do a great job of keeping their performance boots quite comfortable.
Tongue Pull:A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.
90 Flex rating:This boot has a flex rating in the intermediate to advanced range and is generally too stiff for beginners to lean on properly and too soft for experts to ski at top speeds.
35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing.
Description
Are you going skiing or trail running? It\’s hard to distinguish when you could easily drive to your favorite trailhead in your ski boots, although we don\’t recommend it. When in walk mode these Salomon 2019 ski boots offer an insane 75 degrees fore and aft movement and 35 degrees laterally, this means you will have more freedom than nearly anything on the market when it comes to comfortable walkability. More than comfort this amount of rotation offers you an opportunity to take longer strides, meaning fewer steps taken to get to the top, perfect. These ski boots do not meet traditional alpine boot standards so talking about flex can be a little tricky, although we think its safe to say the intended user of these boots finds more joy on the uphill than the way down. If you are looking for an awesome lightweight boot meant for long climbs this is the boot for you. Rest easy knowing the fully moldable boot liner will cradle your foot every step of the way. *Not compatible with standard alpine ski bindings, can only be used with touring style ski bindings.
